Facilitating integration of genomics into healthcare through sharing of experiences and information on policy approaches
Genomics offers the potential to greatly enhance diagnosis, treatment and prevention of medical conditions and, alongside the adoption of other medical technologies and greater use of data, could help deliver a personalised medicine approach.
The field of genomics is advancing on many fronts and countries around the world are developing policy frameworks and implementing demonstration projects to address the many policy issues that arise. Greater sharing of the learnings from these activities will support faster and more consistent integration of genomics into existing health systems.
